Masks in School

What: The Government has recently advised that students over 8 years old should wear masks inside at school. This rule is not mandatory, however it is highly recommended in order to help stop the spread of covid-19 across school grounds. This was announced on the 19th of July by the Victorian Government. Teachers at school can not enforce this rule amongst children, however for those who choose to wear masks, schools are providing masks to students. This rule also applies to teachers as well as students. Shadow Education Minister David Hodgett said the move to re enforce this rule was "mandate by stealth" and would leave parents confused and frustrated.
